crate location

27 April 2012 - 02:24 PM

Hi so we keep Chloe's crate in the living room instead of our bedroom because we spend the most time there. She has been doing fine with it and nap in there when we are hanging out but from that I've read this is not good for her. Should we move it to the bedroom? Also we are moving to a different apartment complex do labs do well with moving and finding a new home with us?

puppy bullying

21 April 2012 - 12:35 AM

So I live in an apartment complex and since we got Chloe at 8weeks old there has been a group of other puppies she has played with and loves it, but recently they have been hanging up on her and picking on her to the point where she yelps. Should I stop letting her run around with these other pups or just wait until she gets hurt to pull her out? She loves everything and all dogs and this doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's immediately when she enters the court yard. Any helpful tips would be great I don't want her to get hurt but she needs other dogs to play with

simple training help

20 April 2012 - 06:52 PM

Hi all so my little Chloe is about 5months now and we have had her for about 3months now and she has gotten used to her home, the parameters of outside where she walks and plays is potty trained and is good about not biting even while her big girl teeth are growing in. However she isn't consistent with any commands except sit and lay down. I am working on come her and stay which is difficult. Shred is having hard times learning anything else. Every command to her starts with her paws and she is really only relatively consistent with commands I give her but no one else including her actually owner. I don't know if it has to do with possible inconsistencies with training from multiple people but i feel she should know come her, stay or sit for people other than myself. Do you have any tips I could do to speed up her learning/training? I appreciate it has:)

Puppy Teeth

12 March 2012 - 02:31 PM

Chloe is starting to lose her first few puppy teeth :) The adult teeth are already starting to grow in (and just when you think the chewing will slow down) I'm expecting a lot of chewing...everything lol.

Looks like the tooth fairy is gonna have to give her a few more toys and treats to help her out ;) I also heard that ice is great for them during their teething stages. I started giving her a plastic bag with a few ice cubes...she loves it so far but her A.D.D. doesn't allow her to chew on it long enough for it to seem to help lol

Worms

Poor Chloe has common puppy worms and is going to the vet this week. Is there a certain age that she has to be before she can start taking worm and heart medicines?
