I posted a while back here asking for opinions on how large my ladybug might get to be.
Well....she is up to 67 lbs now!!!! Looks great, perfect body shape, not to thin, not to big. But oh my she is long!!!! She is around 9 months now so it is still up in the air as to how big she will be. She still eats like crazy, I'm going through 1.84 pounds of food a day. Tigger only eats a little more than half of what she eats. He is 46 lbs and doesn't eat much. Very lean.
Ladybug still hasn't grown into her giant feet. lol. She is doing better going out. Not as fearful now. Last weekend she even approached people in the store on her own, without cowering. In fact she pulled me quite a bit. So I'm probably going to get a gentle leader for her soon. These are all good things. Everyone who came to the house and saw her when she first moved in with us is amazed at how good she looks now. Shiny coat, clear eyes, muscles showing instead of bones. I don't think she will ever be 100% of what she could have because of malnutrition so long at such a young age. But she is amazing and is a shining of example of what a little love can do.

how big will she get

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I was searching the net and came across this site.
I'm just wanting some opinions on the size of my lab. How long will she continue to grow? We believe she may be mixed with something, not sure. She was found May 20th abandoned, staved and beaten. My business partner found her and she is now part of my family. I weighed her the first day, 27lbs. We estimated her age around 4 1/2 months at the time, judging by teeth. She was obviously underweight. As of Sept 9 she weighed in at 61lbs! That is a 34 lb gain in barely over 3 months. My other dog (greyhound/pit bull mix) gained very fast and stopped at about 8 months and 46 lbs. I know larger dogs grow for longer periods of time. Just wondering if I should expect to rate to keep up for a few months before it slows down.
I don't care how big she gets, as long as she can fit through the doors she is welcome. lol. I have had several people think she is purebred and some people think she may be mixed with Pit Bull. Doesn't really matter to me. We joke around and call her big black dog when someone asks.
She is very sweet. Working with her on fear issues. She had a lot of health problems and is just now healthy enough to go out. She is very fearful of getting in the car, til recently I had only taken her to the vets. I'm sure she remembers being dumped. She shuts down on walks so I am working on that. This week I will try to take both dogs, she got over her fear of going out in the yard once she saw the other dog coming in and out as he pleased. I think she realized at this house dogs come back inside.
Sorry, I rambled. Anyway, I know there is no certain time limit for dog growth. Just wondering if anyone had some opinions or maybe experienced something close. She is a very large 61 lbs. Not fat, bulky though. Feet still huge and still has a lot of loose skin. They eat a high quality food. She eats about 3x as much as the other one. Seriously, she eats! She consumes more than 100lb dogs I know. That's why I'm wondering if maybe she is going to be one of those labs that get to 100 lbs.
