Hi, my 6 month puppy, Molly, is getting her adult teeth and I noticed that the new canines started growing right next to the puppy ones (which still didn't fall off), on the inner side of the mouth on top. The bottom ones did the same but the baby teeth fell out within a couple of days. Has anyone seen this happen?? Would she need to have the puppy canines pulled off?

Do you have a photo? I can't really picture what you're saying....

I know with Duke his teeth fell out randomly and there was no rhyme or reason to when the teeth fell out or the order in which they came out. I wouldn't be too worried about it unless it starts to be an issue. I am sure the rest will fall out in due time.

Terry,

I think you will see the others fall out in time. Some vets just go ahead and pull them at six months or so while they are being spayed/neutered. It just speeds along the process and you are already paying for the anesthesia. My lab is also six months and I still see a mixture. Give it eight months as some teeth are a bit more stubborn. If they are growing over each other and causing issues, you might want to talk to the vet, but paying for being knocked out and the pulling will not be cheap. Give Molly plenty of chew toys.
