Your dogs hair is probably falling out because you are feeding him an unbalanced diet. You will need to include vegetables to his raw diet. There are several good recipes on the internet to follow. Just make sure whatever you feed your dog (either recipe of commercial dog food) it states "Total Balanced Nutrition. This is very important, especially at the age your dog is now. If you don't feed your dog correctly they can develop all kinds of problems from skin problems to skelatal deformities and problems such as rickets.

As for bathing your dog. You are bathing him WAY too much. All that is doing is drying his coat and hair out. Unless your dog is very dirty only bathe him about once every other month. If you bathe him excessively you will remove the oils in the skin and coat that keep it healthy.

If your dog likes water, take him to a lake or the seashore where the water is clean and let him swim. Labs love to swim.

To tell you the truth, I would put your dog on a commercial puppy food for the time being just to see if you can reverse any damage his current diet may have done. Royal Canin is available in India and would be a good food to feed your dog.

Hello and welcome to BL.com

Poor Jackey, He needs a bit of looking after. Do you have him on any heartworm medicine? Weight loss on a young dog is troubling. I was thinking that he may have worms. They cause weight loss. Sometimes you can see the worms in the scat but sometimes not. A quick test at the vets will tell you if this a problem. You should have him tested.

Kurt's advise on the diet is right on. We try to feed our babies the best way but sometimes we miss part of the complete make up of a needed diet. Your Jackey should be thriving, furry and chasing after life. As to the bathing, again Master Kurt has laid out the truth. You are compounding the issues by overbathing.

Best of luck and let us know how your boy is doing.
