trying to load a pic of my lab but keep getting error that my pic is too big...suggestions?

Easy.....
Using a graphics manipulation program(such as photoshop or the software that came with your digital camera) and reduce the colors to 256 and the size to 800x600. This greatly reduces the size of the photo and uses a LOT less disk space with no loss of quality.
Your photo will then upload to the gallery very easily!
If you want to upload a photo to be displayed in a thread, just upload it to your favorite photoserver (such as photobucket) and then click the icon with the monitor screen on it in the editor and then just type in the URL to your photo and it will appear in the thread.
