Hi everyone!! I havent been here in a long time, and today I came to say something very sad, If you remember me from the old site youll know my story and Lady Lolah! I had her since 1 day born! She was an amazing baby and I loved her since day one. Yesterday April 1, 2012 my beautiful and beloved Lady Lolah passed away... I feel like I lost my child, because I dont have any and I will never be able to have them because I survived Uterine Cancer (I had an Histerectomy) So she was my only and precious love!!! My baby girl!! and I feel hopeless, I feel like my world is over and the saddest thing is that I wasnt close to her!! Cause when I moved to RI, I left her with my Dad so she could take care of him. I saw her last summer on my last visit to Puerto Rico and last week I sent her a box with gift and treats to her!!! I even talked to her by phone almost everyday and my Dad told me that when she heard me she started waving her tail and looked for me!!! Im very sad ... I wish I could rewind time to not let her die, or fast forward so I can overcome this!!! I've been crying since yesterday and I miss her so much!!! I see her pictures all over my facebook and my apartment and when Im in bed I feel her by my side! Today I was going to work and the first thing I saw was a Black Lab guidance with his owner blind and I started crying I even took pictures of him.. and when I got to work they send me home because they understand how I felt!! Well Im sorry to give this bad news!

And I'll leave you with my favorite quote:

"YOUR BLACK LABRADOR WILL NEVER GIVE UP TO WIN YOUR LOVE, SO PLEASE NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR BLACK LABRADOR"

With lots of love, Daly_PR and Lady Lolah!

Oh goodness me! You poor thing! How awful.

How old was she?

All you can take for comfort is the fact you give her a good life. I cant comment much as I dont know how old she was (long life/short) and what it was that she died from?

But I know exactly how you feel. Your dog is more than just a pet, they are your family, your life in some cases.

I do know however that she would never want you to be sad, she would be upset herself if she knew you were. She will be looking down on you so you need to live your life from now for her, do what she would want you to. Go for those walks that she went on with you, enjoy your life and live it to the full like she would have with you. Dont lose that because then you will lose everything she taught you!

The time we have with our dogs and pets are so short compared to ours, we just have to make them the best we can for them and know that they would never want you to hurt, they bring so much love and joy that they wouldnt want that to be taken away when they go. You would never want her sad if anything happened to you!

My thoughts are with you, time is a great healer, I promise... You will never forget but slowly the pain will ease and slowly you will be able to remember good memories without crying, it will happen. Dont aim for it to stop hurting, aim for you to smile when you think about her. It will never go away but it will ease!

All my love!

xx

We are so sorry to hear of this news. It's awful when you lose a family member as many of us consider our labs.

Here is a website that you may find comforting in this time of grief.

What happened to Lady Lolah?

What happened to Lady Lolah?

She might be poisoned with something she ate or got her stomach very sick. She started feeling bad on last thursday, but it was only diarrhea so my dad tought she ate something that made her felt bad cause he recently that week change her dry food, he tough she was getting better but then on Sunday he was going to take her to the vet cause she started bleeding and she died in the car! In that exact moment I got the call from my brother histerically crying telling me our baby girl died! He Made the hole in front of our house and burried her! I told my dad to plant flowers in there!! But trust me she will be missed and loved forever!!

What brand/type of food was she on previously? There are still ongoing concerns about pet food safety.

Daly - this is such sad news, but at least I'm glad I logged on and picked your message up.

I knew you and Lady Lola's story from the beginning, and I feel that I knew Lady Lola too. She graced the pages of this site and the old one, alongside photos of Phoebe, and all our other friends from that time.

I hope that you can come to terms with your loss, and that you can continue to treasure the times you spent with Lola. We were all privileged to have met both of you.

Here's Lola when she was a litte pup:

I don't log on very much until I checked in this morning and read this very sad news. Daly, I am so sorry to hear of this. Losing a beloved pet is never, never easy. She was a very special part of your life and to those of us that remember her as a young puppy, how you took such great care so she could have a good life. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Daly - So sorry to read about Lady Lolah. She was a great dog that grew up in front of us all. Remember the good times, she would not want you to be sad. She's waiting for you behind the next cloud that you see. Our dogs may leave this earthly plane but they never leave our hearts.
