Prayers are needed for middle and west Tennessee. Over the weekend we had severe flooding. Over 10 people have lost thier lives and many more lost thier homes and cars. Many people through out the region are currently in shelters and have nothing. They truly need prayers right now.
In my country schools were closed today and will be again tommrrow. Most of our major roads are closed and under water. Travel is not reccomended. We currently have fresh water but that may not last if the river continues to rise. Like every one else we have stocked up on enough fresh water for ourselves and the animals to last several days.
The attached pictures are from our downtown/river area, which is about 5 miles from my home. We were lucky enough to stay dry at my home but so many were not that lucky. Please pray for the people that lost thier lives and homes and much more.

We had severe flooding last year in Northumberland, so I know how devastating it can be. Here's hoping that it gets no worse and that recovery can start very soon for you all. I'm very fond of WDVX bluegrass radio station in Knoxville, so I feel as if I have friends over there.

Things are looking up a bit the river began to go down today. My university is attempting to resume classes tommrrow and the public schools are expected to resume Thursday with the exception of the ones that are being used as shelters for those that lost thier homes in the flooding. Clean up is slowly beginning and roads are slowly opening back up.
Ian I know the station you are talking about I used to listen to it as a child. Knoxville did not have any damage because they are in the eastern part of the state.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers.
