When I tried to re-order the SynoviG3 chews I give Perry for joint health I was informed that the company that makes the Synovi line was closed down by the FDA for bad manufacturing procedures on veterinary meds. Here's the press release: http://www.fda.gov/N...s/ucm174880.htm
Darn. I order the Joint-Max chews as a replacement.

I was disappointed to find out that they are no longer making the Synovi Chews also. My dogs have been on them for years, but our vet found something similar for me but are a little bit pricier. They are now taking Dasuquin chews for large dogs. They love them, but so far I am only able to get them from my vet. Before they started carrying these we decided to put them on glucosamine pills every day, but they were very hard on Riley's stomach and he would vomit. I am happy with these, they are made by Nutramax, so far so good. If anything changes I will let you know.

Folks, I used nutri-vet hip & joint on Luke who lived to be 13 with no hip problems at all. I noticed at about age 9 or 10 that he was walking funny. I started him on nutri-vet hip & joint and he was like a 6 year old. Is there something not good about nutri-vet hip & joint?

From one Mom to another Mom, I'm right there with you. Perry has been taking SynoviG3 for atleast 5 years. I googled Dasuquin and it came back with a large variety of places you can buy it on the web. Since I bought enough Joint-Max to last until Summer I won't be needed to resupply for sometime. Thanks for the tip.

My old dog loved the Synovi tabs, she was 15 and would "come to life" whenever I opened the pail. Poor girl, her hips and joints were so crickity so would look at stairs with longing in her eyes. We switched her to the Arthogen Tablets, which is a generic of Cosequin, and she seemed liked them just fine, just not as much, she loved the big bucket of chews. There are a lot of places to find it, but I paid about $45 including shipping at pet and kennel supply.
