Hi everyone! Our names are Adam and Nell
and we would like to introduce our 9 week old puppy Ziggy!
We have had him a week now (I took a week off work to settle him into
our home) and he is a pure joy!
He follows us everywhere, plays rough and tumble for ages, which even wears me out
and then sleeps like the cutest little baby!
Our house is set up to have dogs. We had to say goodbye to our 14yr old field lab
9wks ago(tumor of the liver). He was such a majestic creature, smart, loyal, protective( those
poor pizza delivery guys!)and our lives revolved around him.
...so here we go again, and boy he keeps us on our toes.
We will post some pics once we have down sized them.

If you have any advice on new pup then we would love to hear from you.
Cheers
Nell, Adam, & Ziggy

Well done for choosing another lab, they really are fantastic dogs. My bit of advice would be a) get his jabs done asap B) start puppy classes (sooner the better). Don't know if you had your previous lab as a puppy, but they can be quite boisterous as pups. Let him learn his place in the pack from the start, no letting him on the bed no matter how much he whines at night.

Best wishes and good luck with Ziggy,

Mike, Ashley & Summer

And remember it can take up to 30-45 days for the "pack" to adjust to a new member. Keep an eye on them so that there isn't any excessively rough play during this adjustment time.

Adam & Nell - Welcome to BL.com. Looking forward to seeing pics of Mr. Ziggy. Labs are the best dog. 9 weeks old- the sweet smell of puppy breath. Enjoy your new baby and share stories. We love to read of their progress.
