i got a 10 week old female black lab, how ooften should i be feeding her?

Hey,

I fed my lab 4 meals a day and 1/2 a mug (coffee mug) at a time. She had one first thing, one at about 2pm, one at about 5pm and one just before bed.

We found out our condo association has a rule on dogs up to 45 pounds, and we are not sure how long we might have before having to move with our 2 month old black female lab. We have a friend who have one, and it is around 50lbs well after one year. Any idea on where to find out expected monthly weight gains?

Brooks,

At 10 weeks, I would split it into two servings, a.m. and p.m. The key in the p.m. is early enough to allow for evening exercise and to use the bathroom before retiring for the night. You may find that he/she may not eat much in the morning and nibbles during the day, but is starving at night. Be sure to adhere to recommended servings per the food and don't forget that treats count to in caloric intake. Feed high quality food with meat has the first and hopefully second ingredients for higher digestibility.
